- stump265Jan 06, 2018★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Took mercury v6 outboard in to get bored. They didn't bore it deep enough, left about 1/16" ridge at the bottom of the cylinders. One piston bottoms out and hits this ridge. Don't even want to mess with them cause I live 2hrs away and since they're not open on weekends I would have to take off work again. Charged $360
